TRADISI KITA KEBANGGAAN MALAYSIA

From the 23rd to 25th of August, the TRADISI KITA KEBANGGAAN MALAYSIA program was held in collaboration with Locco, Streetmeet and TikTok Shop Malaysia. Intending to build up the spirit of patriotism among Malaysians, this program encouraged fellow visitors to attend wearing the traditional attire of the many diverse ethnic groups in Malaysia.

A fashion show was held earlier in the day at the Colonial Park of the Sultan Abdul Samad building, with models dressed in a variety of traditional wears supplied by KWC Fashion Wholesale. Onlookers were treated with a literal cornucopia of local traditional outfits representing the various ethnic groups that make up the Malaysian demographic including Malay, Indian, Chinese, Bidayuh and so much more. This also marked the launch of the Tradisi Kita Kebanggaan Malaysia campaign.

Meanwhile in the evening, the “Cintai Batik Kita” fashion show went underway. With Batik as its central theme, it combined modern elements alongside the traditions associated with Batik. Azmi Saad, one of Malaysia’s most decorated national icons also made an appearance performing a song and dance. The evening’s affair was made even more momentous with a joget lambak performance that invited visitors attendees to take part in the celebration.

It would be remiss to not also mention the “Bual Bicara Busana Kita” slot that took place with Mr.Afifi Taib, who took the opportunity to inform and educate the general public on the deep history that goes behind clothing oneself with the Kain Dagang (also known as Kain Samping), which practice reaches as far back as the 1900s. All of these traditional wears, outfits and accessories can be found in KWC Fashion Wholesale.
