GENERATION OF INDEPENDENCE

67 years ago, at Merdeka Stadium, Tunku Abdul Rahman, with his right hand raised upright above his head, shouted “Merdeka” seven times. In the stands, tens of thousands of Malaysians in attendance shouted back. It was then and there that Malaysia became an independent country. Today, one can’t help but feel proud about how far the country has come.
